The Story
Nestled in the remote village of Tres Pinos, Honduras, Finca Santa Lucia sits within the Montaña de La Choca, a national mountain reserve where elevations ranging from 1,200 to 1,650 meters create the perfect conditions for exceptional coffee. It is here that fifth-generation producer Nelson Raul Amador cultivates one of his most prized microlots — a Parainema variety that has consistently produced some of the cleanest and most vibrant profiles on the farm.
Processed using the washed method, this microlot showcases everything that makes Parainema exceptional at high altitude — clarity, precision, and a bright, refined complexity. Notes of white chocolate, caramel, and grapefruit come together in a cup that is both elegant and expressive, perfect for filter brewing where every nuance can shine.
Nelson Raul's commitment to quality runs five generations deep. Odysea co-founder Francisco Galeano visits Finca Santa Lucia at least five times a year, working side by side with Nelson Raul to identify and select the exceptional microlots that meet Odysea's standards. This Parainema is one of those rare finds — a coffee that speaks for itself from the very first sip.
